James Keith White – On This Date in 1859

On this date the 11th of November in 1859, our maternal great-great-great grandfather James Keitha White passed away in Catahoula Parish, Louisiana.*

James Keith White was born in 1820 or 1821 to parents Reuben White and Mary Ann (Canty) Courtney in Louisiana.

James married Elvira Freeman in Louisiana on July 1, 1847.* They were the parents to our maternal great-great grandfather John White.** After Elvira’s death around 1860, James second marriage was to his widowed sister-in-law, Mary Elizabeth Freeman White**** on July 22, 1862 and together they had two children.
