On the Importance of Remembering

I think these words by my dear sister, Jennifer, rings so true as we reflect on the anniversary of 9/11.

People can be taught, manipulated, and intimidated into forgetting, but they can’t be forced to, if they choose not to do so. No one, and no act, can destroy the love that people shared in a particular time and place. To remember—that is the true progress.
