I love how fragrance triggers memories. I open my window on a spring morning and breathe in a faint scent of sweet olive. Immediately I have memories of my granny’s house and sitting with her on the front porch. The thought brightens my day, just as sharing her writings do. Her poems reflect her outlook on life, and I’m blessed to have them to remind me just as smells do. She truly was a treasure!
HE KNOWS, HE LOVE, HE CARES
Before I was born God knew me.
Through all my years He drew me
Closer to His loving side
Where forever I will abide.
He loves me with a fatherly love.
Showered upon me from above
No greater love was ever given
Than His endearing love from Heaven.
Every day He shows how He cares
By helping me through my doubts and fears
Still drawing me closer to His side
Where from Satan’s darts I can hide.
He knows, He loves and He cares
For all His children every where
He always hears when we call
And sends a blessing for us all.
