Laundry Powder Recipe

borax, washing soda & soapI’ve been making my own laundry powder from borax, washing soda and bar soap for years. I’ve tried using different varieties of bar soap…cheap, expensive, scented and unscented. You name it, I’ve tried it. Since I have sensitive skin, I make my own bar soap from 3 simple ingredients: Coconut Oil, Spring Water and Lye (will be sharing this recipe soon).

I encourage you to use whatever soap works well with your family’s preferences and budget. Here are a few I’ve tried Zote, Ivory, Fels Naptha, Dr. Bronners Organic Unscented Baby-Mild Soap, and Kirk’s Natural Castile Soap Original. The last two are my favorite to use when I don’t have time to make my own bar soap.

  1. I love this laundry powder. Thanks for providing this product. I know I could make this myself but I have enough to do. BeMagnoliaGreen does a fine job herself.

And thanks for sharing your experiences.
