Whipped Butter
In my quest to be frugal with my weekly food budget, I literally whipped up this recipe this morning and it was a real hit with the fam.
Take a 1/2 cup of room temperature salted butter and a 1/4 cup of whole milk and place in a standing mixer. With a rotary beater mix the butter and milk. Start on slowest setting and then gradually increase it to the highest speed until a nice emulsion of milk and butter are achieved. Continue to whip until nice and fluffy. Scrape this yumminess into a small bowl with a lid and store in fridge. For a sit down meal, scoop out what’s needed onto a saucer and allow it to soften at room temperature for about 10 minutes before serving.
