Azelia Sidonia “Donie” White – On This Date in 1881

On this date the 12th of September in 1881 our maternal great grandmother, Azelia Sidonia White, was born in Avoyelles Parish, Louisiana to parents John White and Azaline Deville.*

John Louis M. LaPrarie and Azelia Sidonia White married around 1899 and had 6 children including our maternal grandfather John Alvis LaPrarie. About 3 years after John Louis M.‘s death she married Odious E. DeLoach on May 16, 1921. Odious was a widower with 2 sons from his first wife Ruby Hester Powell.**
